Our Delivery Method
Once you have decided to come on board with NRG Online Training, an NRG
administration person or a workplace trainer and assessor will visit you to discuss
the training needs that best suit you and the trainee.
At this initial meeting, a Training Plan will be introduced and discussed.
Once the Training Plan has been decided upon, a Pre Training Development Survey
will be completed which helps us ascertain the best time our visits should occur.
NRG Online Training has found that the best way to training is to create a working
partnership with the employer, trainee and workplace trainer and assessor.
We strongly encourage communication between all four parties.
We have found a need to tailor our materials towards the needs of our trainees,
while also meeting the needs of our employers.
An Overview Of The Training
We envisage that the trainee will complete the program within a 12 to 15 month period provided that the employer allocates all structured training withdrawal time to the trainee as discussed with either the administration person or the workplace trainer and assessor.
A workplace trainer and assessors will contact the trainee every month and a visit should take place every 4 – 6 weeks. We do encourage the trainee to contact the workplace trainer and assessor in-between visits if they require any further help. We also encourage the workplace coach to attend the trainee’s assessment meetings, and to take charge of their structured training withdrawal.
When we initially visit you, we like the trainee to complete a Pre Training Review. This is a numeracy and literacy test, which is based on Year 7 standards. This is done so that your workplace trainer and assessor are aware of the trainee’s level of learning. An enrolment form will be completed and a brief overview of the course will be discussed with the trainee. The trainee will also be provided with a Student Information Booklet.
Once the staff member has been signed up to the traineeship program, we can commence training.
A first Assessment will be completed at the initial visit by the workplace trainer and assessor, the Traineeship Contact/Progress Report and Structured Training Withdrawal is explained to the trainee along with what is expected of them and their responsibilities.
We again explain the training plan and how the visits will be carried out; there are approximately eight visits in total for Retail Sales, nine visits in Hospitality, five visits in Business Administration, six visits in Customer Contact, nine visits for transport and distribution (warehousing and storage) and eight visits in wholesale operations.
At the initial visit units are discussed and set, at the next visit the units that had been previously discussed and set are assessed. Once this has been done new modules are set and discussed which will be assessed at the next visit. Once again all of these units have been discussed at the training visit.
